Standard Bank SA
Product & UX Internship (Full-Time)

Standard Bank renewed my contract for

a second year, confirming my place on the

design track. The extension let me stay

with the digital-channels squad,

Carrying prototypes through to live

release while adding scope to mentor the

incoming cohort on Figma workflow and

accessibility checks.

Red & Yellow Creative School for Business
Design Techniques Certificate

LSDM Honors - UX Extension

To broaden my honours at LSDM, I

added the school’s advanced UX module.

I learned to translate qualitative

interview data into service blueprints,

framed business goals with Lean-

Canvas workshops, and pressure-tested

concepts against NPS and CAC targets.

A dedicated module in UX writing

tightened every microcopy string, while

rapid A/B labs drilled the habit of pairing

words with evidence. Weekly critique

with agency mentors refined my

storytelling.

Freelance (Multidisciplinary)

Standard Bank SA
User Experience Engineer (Learner)

Starting freelance work in 2023 honed

my production skills—clean UI layouts,

polished motion, bullet-proof component

libraries—and sharpened client-side

essentials like scoping, rapid iteration,

and clear stakeholder comms.

I entered Standard Bank’s Experience

Engineer Programme as a design-track

learner, moving straight from university

theory into the pace of enterprise product

teams. The programme paired structured

study with hands-on rotations, so my

weeks were split between facilitated

modules on systems thinking, accessibility,

and front-end patterns, and live sprints

inside the bank’s digital channels.

I collaborated with UX leads to map user

journeys, built Figma prototypes and

motion proofs that developers could lift

directly into code, and sat in on daily

stand-ups to follow features from ticket

to production.

B.A. (Hons) Design & Visual Comms

From the very first studio sprints, I

honed my classical skills in observation

drawing, typography hierarchy, and

color theory. I quickly advanced to

digital disciplines, where I learned to

create responsive brand systems,

WCAG-compliant web layouts, and

rapid prototypes in Figma. Weekly

critique sessions instilled agile work

practices, while labs focused on

ergonomics, interaction, and visual

language equipped me to balance

aesthetics with usability. On the

theoretical side, I learned to interpret

design history, analyze market trends,

and translate insights into lean business

canvases.

I applied this knowledge by

leading a fintech product pitch that

stood out among my peers. By the end

of the year, I felt confident moving

from a blank page to a validated

concept, equipped with skills in

storytelling, user persona mapping,

motion storyboarding, and the practice

of grounding every decision in

real-world evidence.

Matriculated · Christian Brothers College
- National Senior Certificate (IEB)

From my early days in a public crèche

to Grade 7, school was a blend of

performances, sports, and leadership

roles. I actively participated in annual

revues, cross-country races, and

rugby, eventually being elected to the

Head Council.

A scholarship led me to Christian

Brothers College, known for academic

excellence and strong sports

programs. Over five years, I grew fond

of subjects like History, Business,

Biology, and Financial Maths.

In sports, I engaged in rugby,

swimming, hockey, squash, and

athletics, and was part of a debate

team that honed my public speaking

skills. In my final year, I served on the

Student Leadership Council as Head

of Art, where I expanded the syllabus

to include modern work. These twelve

years shaped the multidisciplinary

designer I am today.
